The Hokkaido Futon Frame is crafted from premium Indonesian Mahogany hardwood, known for its exceptional strength and durability. This frame is a significant upgrade compared to standard Rubberwood Bi-Fold Frames, offering reinforced construction designed to withstand heavier futon mattresses and support up to 200 pounds more weight.
Key reinforcements include thicker and wider front and back rails, each equipped with support bars for added stability, and a sturdy stretcher bar for additional strength. The seat and back decks are reinforced with extra slats, ensuring the frame handles heavy loads without compromising its compact design.
The Hokkaido frame also features wide Mission-style arms (3-5/8") for added functionality and aesthetic appeal. Beneath the frame, spacious drawers provide generous storage capacity, perfect for stowing bedding and other items.
