Luonto

Luonto Furniture is a Finnish, family-owned maker of sleeper sofas, sectional sleepers, and sofa bunk beds, and this is the full Futonland collection of Luonto sleepers. Every Luonto sleeper sofa is designed to be a comfortable everyday sofa first, then open into a real bed in seconds, with sizes from a single cot chair up to a king sleeper sofa.

About Luonto Furniture

Luonto was founded in Finland in 1964 by Pentti Viitala, with the goal of making high-quality furniture available at fair prices. The company is still family owned and operated today. Luonto means "nature" in Finnish, and sustainability runs through the business: frame wood comes largely from the family's own forest, mainly Nordic spruce and birch, and Luonto's production is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards for quality and environmental management.

Luonto Sleeper Sofas with the Nest Function

Most Luonto sleepers use the Nest Function, a dual-motion mechanism that stores the mattress in two sections: one nests under the seat and the other tucks into the back of the frame. The bed opens in a couple of simple steps without removing the seat cushions, and because the bed is split into two halves, you can open one side as a bed or lounger while the other side stays a sofa seat. The foam mattress lies on a flat platform, so there are no bars or springs under your back when you sleep.

Luonto Sleeper Sizes: King, Queen, Full XL, and Cot

Luonto sleepers use standard American bed sizes, so sheets and bedding fit the way you expect. A king sofa sleeper gives two adults the most room and works well as a primary sofa in a living room. A queen loveseat sleeper fits smaller living rooms and guest rooms, and a Full XL loveseat sleeper adds extra length in a compact footprint. A cot chair sleeper turns a single armchair into a twin-width bed for a home office, reading nook, or small apartment.

Popular Luonto Models

The collection includes many of Luonto's best-selling designs. The Nico, Ethos, Casey, and Fantasy sleepers are offered in several sizes, from queen loveseat to king sofa sleeper. The Elfin has ultra-slim arms that maximize sleeping space in tight rooms, and the Belton and Haven add a more tailored, contemporary look. For larger rooms, the Dolphin, Hugo, and Martta sectional sleepers combine a sectional with a full-size bed. The Luonto Elevate is a sofa that converts into a bunk bed, sleeping two people in the footprint of a single sofa, making it a popular choice for kids' rooms, guest rooms, and vacation homes.

Luonto Fabrics and Custom Orders

Luonto sleepers are available in a wide range of upholstery fabrics and colors, with select models also offered in special order configurations. Check each product page for available fabrics, leg finishes, and sizes.
