The Wilderness log bed would go great in a cabin or log home; It is the most rustic bed in our log bed collection. Each piece of this bed consists of six-inch and four-inch diameter skip peeled logs that are mortised, tenoned, screwed, and glued together. Constructed out of Norway pine, each log must be hand selected to be just the right diameter and have the right amount of rustic character. Skip peeled logs have more pronounced character knots and a little bit of cambium or bark left on the outside of the log. The complete Wilderness log bed frame consists of a headboard, a footboard, side rails, and bed slats. If you would like a less bulky bed frame, you can purchase the log head board only and connect it to a metal bed frame.
