Upgrade your HALO BassiNest® bassinet mattress to one that's GOTS-certified organic, breathable, and easy-to-clean.
Designed for the close-to-you convenience of HALO BassiNest bassinets, the Naturepedic Breathable Organic Bassinet Mattress offers a certified organic sleep surface made for Baby’s first months. Its firm, flat construction supports safer sleep, while a waterproof, breathable cover helps to protect the mattress through everyday leaks and late-night changes. (Note: Use as a replacement bassinet mattress only. Never stack on top of an existing mattress.)
A removable breathable layer creates space for 360 degree airflow between your baby and the bassinet mattress, helping to reduce trapped heat and moisture at the sleep surface. Back sleeping is always safest for Baby, but in case they do roll over, they can breathe right through the bassinet mattress surface.
The cover’s waterproof backing helps to prevent accidents from soaking into the bassinet mattress. This is essential. If a mess contaminates your bassinet mattress’s core, even "washable" designs, it's nearly impossible to clean. (And most "washable" bassinet mattresses are nearly impossible to dry.)
When accidents happen, simply remove the cover and machine wash and dry. In the meantime, you can add a spare cover to the bassinet and put Baby right back to bed. No need to hose down your bassinet mattress (or worse, shower with it).
Love the closeness and convenience of your HALO BassiNest? Our Organic Cotton Bassinet Mattress is designed specifically for HALO BassiNest bassinets, so you don’t have to choose between the bedside setup you want and the organic sleep surface you care about.
Bassinets are designed to fit close by, making it easier to room share with Baby during the earliest months. This lightweight bassinet mattress supports that smaller sleep setup with a design that’s easy to lift, move, and manage for sheet changes, cleanup, and everyday routines.
The breathable cover’s waterproof backing helps to guard against messes, which is a must for breathable mattresses. Made with GOTS-allowed TPU, this waterproofing material keeps cleanup simple – no phthalates or vinyl/PVC required (a common source of PFAS, aka “forever chemicals”).
