Modern Synergy began with a commitment to look outside of the industry and consider the possibilities. Inspiration came more by vibe than by any single design or item. Trendy hotspots and inspiring surroundings from around the world have played a role. Synergy represents the possibilities when we throw off old paradigms for something fresh. We assumed the freedom of a blank canvas and have created an original contemporary design.

Much of the inspiration was fostered by the materials themselves. Character grade Ambrosia Maple became the unexpected focus. It is admired throughout artisan industries from custom guitar makers to architectural design firms for its unique markings. This character is the result of this North American tree's defensive response to the Ambrosia beetle. It is what it is because of what it has been through. Similarly, the cold-rolled steel finish used throughout the collection has its own story of character and strength through pressure. The process uses colder temperatures to create a smoother, raw steel finish. It is then hand-worked into precise shapes. Select American Black Walnut and Highly Figured American Black Walnut add a contrasted hue to the gray-dyed Ambrosia Maple while Knotty Oak adds an element of texture. While these selections are beautiful on their own, it is when they are combined that we are left with a greater Synergy.
